Hiresweep fills in the employer’s application form for you: your details, your resume, your cover letter and the answers to the form’s questions. It stops before sending unless you told it otherwise, so you can check every field and press submit yourself. There are two ways to apply:

Fill in my browser

Hiresweep fills the form in a new tab of your own browser, through the Hiresweep extension. You watch it happen and submit from your browser.

Apply in the background

Hiresweep fills the form in its own browser while you do something else, then waits for you on the application page.
Before you start, have a resume chosen for the application (tailored if you like), and fill in your apply profile so Hiresweep has your contact details, work eligibility and saved answers.

Fill in my browser

This needs the Hiresweep browser extension in Chrome on a computer. See Installing the browser extension.
1

Go to the Applied step

Open the application and go to the Applied step, or select Go to apply in the header.
2

Select Fill in my browser

Hiresweep opens the employer’s form in a new tab and fills it step by step. The panel shows what it is doing, such as Reading the form…, Attaching your resume… and Filling the form….
3

Answer what it asks

When the form asks something your resume and apply profile don’t answer, the panel shows the question with a suggested answer. Check it, change it if needed, and select Continue. Your answers are saved to your apply profile for next time.
4

Check and submit

When the form is filled, check it in the tab. Select Submit application to send it.
Other buttons in the panel:
  • Show the form brings the form’s tab to the front.
  • Fill again starts over on the same form.
  • Cancel stops filling without sending anything, and hands the held application back.
  • Close closes the panel after the employer’s site confirmed the application.
Each field the panel lists may carry a tag: Written by AI (a drafted answer), Needs you (you have to answer it), Site error (the site rejected the value) or Not taken (the field didn’t accept it).
The extension only presses the employer’s submit button when you select Submit application. It won’t send a form on its own unless your submit mode allows it, as described below.
If the extension isn’t installed or is out of date, the Applied step shows Install extension or Update extension instead. If a fill stops with Couldn’t fill the form because Chrome hasn’t allowed the extension on job sites, select Allow filling in the panel (or Allow filling on job sites in the extension’s popup).

Apply in the background

On the Applications list, select Apply on a job in the Ready stage. Hiresweep starts filling the form in its own browser and shows Applying to … in the background. You can keep working. Sites that make you sign in to apply, such as Workday, can’t be filled this way; Apply opens the application page so you can use Fill in my browser. Open the application to follow the run in its Apply card:
  • A live view shows the browser filling in the form.
  • Questions it can’t answer appear with a box for your answer. Select Send to continue. If nobody answers within 15 minutes, the run stops.
  • When the form is filled, select Submit to send it, or Cancel to stop without sending. This also waits up to 15 minutes.
The run ends with one of:
  • Application sent
  • The site didn’t accept it: something stopped the run before it sent anything, such as a sign-in page or questions nobody answered. The card says why. When it stopped on questions, answer them and select Apply again.
  • The run stopped before sending: nothing was sent. Use Fill in my browser to try again.
Run details shows a screenshot of the form as it was filled, and Technical logs shows every step.
Background applications use a hosted submit from your plan. When you have none left, Apply on the list opens the application page instead, where you can use Fill in my browser.

Captchas

Hiresweep doesn’t solve captchas. When a form in the background shows one, the run ends with Solve the captcha to send it and offers Finish in my browser, which continues the application in your own browser through the extension. Without the extension, it offers Open the form so you can finish it yourself. A notification appears on any dashboard page when a run stops on a captcha. When a captcha appears after you select Submit application in your own browser, solve it in the form’s tab and select I’ve solved it.

LinkedIn postings

For LinkedIn jobs, Hiresweep uses the extension to find the employer’s own application link behind the posting, using your signed-in LinkedIn session. Only that link leaves your browser. Postings that can only be applied to with LinkedIn Easy Apply can’t be filled.

Submit mode: review or send automatically

Choose how much Hiresweep may send without you under Settings → Apply profile → Sending applications: In your own browser, a form is sent on its own only when every field is filled. The panel first counts down Sending in 10 s; select Review first to stop the countdown and check the form yourself. In the background, a run in Automatic mode sends without a countdown.

Saved answers

Answers you give to form questions are saved as Saved answers in your apply profile, so the same question is answered for you next time.

Applying for a client

For operator accounts, an application for a client who must approve each one can’t be sent until the client approves it. See Working with clients.

What it costs

Credits are held when a run starts. In the background, they are spent only when the application is sent. In your browser, the application is spent when you select Submit application. A run you cancel, or one that stops before sending, costs nothing. If a form filled in your browser reaches the review stage and you neither submit nor cancel it, the held application is spent before the hold expires, since you may have sent it from the employer’s tab. Filling a form uses no AI actions. Asking Hiresweep to write or improve an answer to a form question uses one. See Plans and usage.
