Every resume has a Notes field for your own use. Write down where you sent this version, what makes it different, or anything else you want to remember. Notes never print on the resume.

Where to find them

In the builder, select the Design tab of the Edit panel and scroll to Notes, after Page.

Write notes

1

Open Notes

Go to Design > Notes.
2

Write

Use the rich-text editor. Bold, lists, links and headings all work. See Editing resume sections.
3

Leave it

Notes save automatically as you type.

Who can see them

A JSON backup contains your notes, because it holds the complete resume. Remove anything sensitive from Notes before you send a JSON file to someone else.

Ideas for what to write

  • Where it went: companies, roles and the date you applied with this version.
  • Job posting links, plus a copy of the key requirements in case the posting comes down.
  • What’s different about this version and which roles it suits.
  • Interview prep: questions to ask, stories to tell, salary notes.
  • Follow-ups: when you last heard back and what’s next.
To track applications with statuses and dates, use Applications in the dashboard sidebar. See Tracking job applications. Notes suit details that belong to one resume version.
