Applications is where you keep every job you are applying to. Each job gets its own page with the posting, how well your resume matches it, the resume you will send, the application itself and your notes. Open it from Applications in the dashboard sidebar, under Job search.
Reading a posting, scoring your resume, tailoring it and writing a cover letter use AI actions. Saving a job, choosing a resume, setting a status and writing notes don’t. See Plans and usage.

Add a job

There are two ways to add a job:
  • Paste a link. Select Add job in the top right of Applications, paste the posting’s full address into Job link and select Add job. The link must be a public web address.
  • From Discover. Select Add job on a match. See Discovering jobs.
Hiresweep saves the job and opens its page. Adding a link you are already applying to opens that application instead of a new one. If the earlier application was closed (rejected, withdrawn or ghosted), you get a new one. A job added from a pasted link starts without a resume; choose one on its page. A job added from Discover uses the resume you searched with.

How an application moves forward

Each application page shows five steps along the top: When there is an obvious next step, the page header shows it as the main button: Review for a saved job, Tailor once it is reviewed and has a resume, and Go to apply when it is ready.

Review and score

The first time you open a saved job, Hiresweep reads the posting on its own, and scores your resume against it if one is chosen. The Match card shows a score out of 100 and, under Missing, the keywords the posting asks for that your resume never uses. Without a resume, it shows No match score until you choose one and select Score.
  • Review reads the posting again, for example after the employer updated it.
  • Score rescores your resume against the posting already read, for example after you edited your resume.
Each uses one AI action.

Choose the resume you will send

Open the Resume menu and choose one of your resumes. Everything that follows (the score, the tailored copy, the application) uses it. You can change it until the application is sent, except while an application run is going. Each resume keeps its own score, so switching back brings its score back. After sending, the menu becomes Applied with and shows the resume that went out.

Tailor and write a cover letter

On the Ready step, Tailor writes a copy of your resume rewritten for this posting, and the Cover letter card writes a letter for it. See Tailoring and cover letters.

Apply

On the Applied step, select Fill in my browser and Hiresweep fills in the employer’s form in your browser. You can also start an application in Hiresweep’s own browser from the applications list. See Applying to jobs.

Status

The status badge in the page header is a menu. Select it to set the status by hand: Hiresweep also shows Reviewing, Tailoring and Applying while it works on a step. You can’t pick those yourself. Rejected, Withdrawn and Ghosted close the application, and the outcome is shown next to the steps along the top.

Notes and posting details

The About this job card on the side of every step holds:
  • Notes: recruiter names, interview times, questions you were asked or salary figures. Notes save when you click outside the box.
  • Posting: the company, location, job type, salary and posting date Hiresweep read from the posting.

The applications list

The list shows every application with its match score, role, status, the resume it will send (the tailored copy, unless you chose the original) and when it last moved.

Filter by stage

The row of tiles above the list filters it by stage. Each tile shows how many applications are in it: Use Match to keep only jobs scoring 50+, 70+ or 85+, and Clear filters to show everything again.

Act from the list

Rows that are ready for their next step have a button for it:
  • Tailor on a reviewed job tailors your resume in the background. A message with Open appears when it is done.
  • Apply on a ready job starts an application in Hiresweep’s browser in the background. When you have no hosted submits left, or the employer’s site needs you to sign in, it opens the application page instead. See Applying to jobs.
Select a row to open its page.

Delete an application

Open the … menu in the job page’s header, or the row’s actions menu in the list, select Delete and confirm. The application and everything kept about it are removed. This can’t be undone. The posting is also removed when no other application of yours uses the same link.

Troubleshooting

Review is disabled while Hiresweep is working on the application. If the page says AI isn’t available right now, try again later.
Some job boards block automated readers or show the posting only after you sign in, and the page says why the review failed. Open the posting in your browser to confirm it is public, then select Review again.
The application was deleted, or the link belongs to a different account. Select Back to applications to see the ones you have.
