The agent runs on Hiresweep AI, with nothing to set up. Messages, job post reads, match scores, rewrites and Resume
checks each use one AI action. Accepting, skipping and undoing don’t. See Plans and usage.
Open and close the Agent card
On a wide screen the card is open on the right of the canvas.- Select Minimise agent panel in the card’s header to fold it into a narrow Agent strip. When suggestions are waiting, the strip says how many, for example Agent, 3 edits to review. Select Expand agent panel to open it again.
- Press ⌘ . on a Mac or Ctrl . on Windows and Linux to open or close it.
- On narrower screens the card opens over the canvas. Select Agent in the canvas header to open it, and Close agent panel to close it.
- On a phone, open the … (Resume actions) menu in the header and select Agent.
Tailor your resume to a job post
With a job post attached, the agent scores how well your resume matches it and focuses its suggestions on what the post asks for.1
Add the job post
Select Add a job post in the Agent card.
2
Paste the post or its link
Choose a tab:
- Paste text: paste the whole post, with the title, company, responsibilities and requirements. It must be between 200 and 50,000 characters.
- Link: paste the address of the posting. It must start with
http://orhttps://.
3
Select Add and analyze
Hiresweep reads the post, scores your resume against it and asks the agent to suggest edits for it. The job card
shows the role, the company and your Match score.
The match score
Match is a score from 0 to 100 for how well your resume covers the post’s requirements. While suggestions are waiting, an arrow shows where the score would go if you accepted all of them. Each suggestion card also shows its own estimate, for example +6 pts. After you accept or undo suggestions, Hiresweep scores the resume again. When you edit the resume yourself, the score is marked out of date: select Refresh match score to score it again. A score is reused until the resume or the waiting suggestions change.Ask for a change
Type in the box at the bottom of the card, which says Ask the agent for a change, and press Enter. Ask for one specific change at a time, for example “Rewrite my summary for a senior frontend role” or “Tighten the bullets in my most recent job.” When the box is empty, starter buttons fill it with a request you can edit before sending:
If a section is open in the Edit panel, its name appears as a chip under the box and your message is sent as being about that section. Select the × on the chip to leave the section out.
The agent only rewords, reorders and tightens what your resume already says. It doesn’t invent employers, numbers, skills or dates, and it doesn’t change your template, colors or fonts. When a missing fact would make an edit much stronger, it asks you instead, with answers you can pick.
Review suggestions
Each suggestion is a card under the agent’s reply. It names the part of the resume it changes, shows the current text and the proposed text, and gives a one-line reason. On the canvas, waiting suggestions show as tracked changes, with removed text and added text marked. Select Show removed text to see every removed word on the page. On each card:- Accept writes the change to your resume. Press A while the card is focused.
- Skip dismisses the card. Press S while the card is focused.
- Rewrite asks the agent for a different version. Say how it should change, or pick Shorter, Keep my numbers or Stronger verb. Each rewrite uses one AI action.
- Select the location at the top of the card to see the change on the resume. Selecting a highlighted change on the canvas brings its card into view.
- Accept all accepts every waiting suggestion at once. The button shows how many, for example Accept all 3.
- Rewrite all bullets asks the agent to rewrite every experience bullet for the job, with stronger verbs and clear outcomes. It appears when suggestions touch your experience, projects or volunteering.
- On a phone, a bar above the message box offers Accept all and Review, which scrolls to the first waiting card.
Undo an accepted suggestion
Accepting shows a message with Undo for a few seconds. Select it to put the old text back. Undo doesn’t work if you have edited that text since you accepted the change.Out-of-date suggestions
If you edit a part of the resume after the agent suggested a change to it, the card says Out of date: this part of the resume changed after the suggestion was made. Choose one:- Rewrite for current text asks for a new version based on the resume as it is now.
- Apply anyway writes the suggested text over your newer text.
- Skip dismisses it.
Run a Resume check
A Resume check reviews the whole resume, not tied to one job, and gives you an overall score, strengths and what to fix.1
Open Resume check
Select Resume check in the Agent card’s header. After your first check, the link shows your last overall score.
2
Select Analyze resume
The check runs in the background. You can close the dialog and keep editing; the link shows Checking… while it
runs.
3
Read the results
When it finishes, a message shows the score, for example Resume check done · 84. Select View to open the
results: Overall score, Scorecard, Strengths and Suggestions marked High, Medium or Low.
